Royal Ranch Christmas Party

So, apparently every year our neighborhood holds a community Christmas Party in one of our parks.

We have lived here for almost 8 years, and I never knew this, and so we have never been.

let me tell you…. we've been missing out.

It was a great little party. There were bounce houses, train rides, pictures with Santa, a DJ, food, and horse drawn carriage rides! And the best part was everything was free and it wasn't super crowded!

The kids had a blast playing and I think L and R rode the train about 5 times!

We met up with our good friends and laughed at how crazy our FIVE boys are when they all get together!

And finally, we ended the day with a beautiful horse drawn carriage ride around the neighborhood. How cool is that?

L2 was not a fan of the carriage ride, if you can't tell. Oh well, when you have three kids having two out of three enjoy something is usually considered a win!

Santa!

It's Santa!

We finally made it out to see Santa late last week. L has been asking to go for awhile now, and he was very excited, although he did get shy when it finally came time to talk to the big guy!

(When all you want is a cute picture with your kids, and they just want to get away from you.)

(A little better after I plied them with Candy Canes!)

R and L2 were not fans of Santa, and it was only after he gave them candy and we actually held them in our laps that we managed to get a halfway decent picture!

L finally got over his shyness and asked Santa for walkie-talkies for Christmas!  I have a feeling he may get his wish!

A Christmas house!

Our house has been fully "christmas-ized" for the last week now, and I love it.

S went out last weekend while I took L and the little boys to his T-ball game and found the perfect tree. Normally I wouldn't let him pick something out without me, but I have to say…. he did really good.

It's a great tree, and we had a great time decorating it.

And by great time, I mean that R stepped on several ornament and broke them, and L and L2 fought over who was going to get to hang what ornament.

But still, Christmas carols were playing and we had eggnog. They may be like bulls in a china shop, but I love that they love Christmas as much as I do. And L likes hearing all the stories about each ornament, and what they mean.

There's our first house ornament, all three baby first Christmas ornaments. There's one for the dogs and one that has L2's footprint. We have a buzz lightyear that is L's favorite, and ugly ones from S's work, that I hid in the back of the tree, but still hang because they are part of our story.

L2 helped me hang the low ornaments, and L got the special job of helping daddy put the star on the tree, something he was very excited about!

And then we tried to take a picture of all three boys in front of the tree. This is the best we could get! And for some reason R has his christmas PJ's on inside out AND backwards AND over his clothes.

And finally I'll leave with pictures of all our house Christmas decorations!

Tis the season! Merry Christmas everyone!

Frosty is back!

Frosty's back!!!

He actually showed up on Thanksgiving night, surprising the boys by hiding in their closet after bath time!

Usually, Frosty shows up the day after Thanksgiving, but since S had to work the day after he apparently decided to come that night!

All the boys were so excited, especially L. And Frosty left them a letter, thanking them for being good and asking them to pick out a few toys that Frosty could take back to Santa, and that Santa could give to some boys and girls that don't have many toys. This is a tradition we started last year, and I love how excited and accepting L is every year about giving up a few of his toys for kids in need!

Frosty also brought all of us a few presents! We all got Christmas PJ's! This year L got a pair of his own, while L2 and R got matching ones. Even S and I got jammies form Santa…. I guess we must have been good this year!

So, Frosty is here, which I guess means the Christmas Season has officially begun! Bring on the eggnog. presents, carols, and Santa!!

Baby and Bubbles

Just popping in to say:

Is there anything in the world cuter then a baby enjoying a bubble bath?

I think the answer to that question is a resounding "NO"!

L's Fall Feast!

L's school had an adorable fall feast and I was lucky enough to be able to volunteer!

(I know, I know… just call it Thanksgiving. It's only L's first year in school but some of the "politically correct" stuff that has changed since I was in school drives me crazy!)

But regardless, it was super cute. They had a full Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, fruit, cheese, rolls, and, of course, pumpkin pie.

Needless to say, pumpkin pie and rolls seemed to be the biggest hit with all the kids!

He's so excited! I love that he's still at an age where he absolutely loves when I come into the classroom!

Thanksgiving 2015!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

(You know, last Thursday. Whatever)

I've officially decided that Thanksgiving might be in the running for my favorite hospital after Christmas. I mean, a day where you pretty much do nothing but eat and drink all day??? Sign me up.

I was a little worried out holiday may be not as a great this year, because poor L2 had to have surgery on his mouth last week and was still on a liquid/soft food diets when Thanksgiving came. But, to be honest, he's a pretty picky eater and he wouldn't have eaten 90% of the food we served anyway. He was perfectly happy with yogurt and some ice cream… I think the only thing he really missed was being able to eat the bread rolls!!!

Unfortunately our families were not able to join us this year, but our wonderful neighbors came over for dinner. We are seriously so lucky to have them, they do so much for us and have become like family. Plus, the boys absolutely love them and they have a little girl that they all love playing with!

And now we are officially into the Christmas season! My favorite time of the year, but I'm already stressed out with how much I need to to do!

I hope everyone enjoyed their meals and family time as much as we did!
